About Our Speaker
Summer Miller is a freelance food journalist, recipe developer, and author. Her work has appeared in Bon Appetit, Eating Well, Grit, SAVEUR, Every Day with Rachel Ray, Edible Omaha, and Edible Feast. Her book, New Prairie Kitchen: Stories and Seasonal Recipes from Chefs, Farmers and Artisans of the Great Plains, was awarded a 2016 Nebraska Book Award, shortlisted for the International Gourmand Award, noted by Epicurious as a “need to read” cookbook for 2015, and heralded by Oprah Winfrey’s private chef as “more than a cookbook—it’s a love letter to the heartland.” She lives with her husband and two children in Elkhorn, where they reject what she cooks for dinner at least 60 percent of the time. *** If you need to cancel your reservation you must do so by the Sunday prior to the event in order to get a full refund. If you registered but did not pay and you do not cancel by the Sunday prior to the event, you will be billed the registration fee. Registrations made after the Sunday prior to the event will be charged $20 for the luncheon entry fee.
