Pam Hernandez, founder & president of The Right Reflection®
Pam Hernandez, founder and president of The Right Reflection®, who will talk about “Uncovering and Managing Unconscious Bias.” Space is limited, and spots are filling up quickly!
Pam’s 30-year career in the financial services industry culminated in her role as chief operating officer. Her business experience includes marketing, human resources, IT, operations and strategy. Pam began The Right Reflection after receiving a master’s degree in applied positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work focuses on bringing about transformational change with organizations and individuals. Pam is certified in a number of psychological and leadership assessment tools and programs, as well as being a professional certified coach (PCC) through International Coaching Federation.
Her presentation introduces the concept of unconscious bias and the effect it has on all aspects of our working lives and provides techniques to manage this bias.
Key messages include:
- All humans have unconscious preferences and biases. It’s normal!
- Most of the bias we may feel or exhibit exists in our unconscious.
- Organizations must ensure that their practices are free of bias and create inclusivity for all applicants, employees and customers.
- There are techniques to help us manage our individual and organizational biases.
