2026 February Luncheon w/ Eugene Kowel, Special Agent

You won’t want to miss HWN’s speaker for our Feb. 17 lunch meeting – Eugene Kowel, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Omaha Field Office and eight resident agencies across Nebraska and Iowa. If you haven’t already registered, there is still time. Registration is open until Sunday night.

Kowel’s topic will be “FBI Omaha’s Mission to Protect the American People and Uphold the Constitution.” Appointed to the role in October 2020, Kowel oversees all FBI personnel, operations, and criminal, national security, and cyber investigations across the two states.

Kowel joined the FBI as a special agent in 2005 and was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force in the New York Field Office, where he led counterterrorism investigations and criminal cases involving drug trafficking, firearms trafficking, and fraud. He has also held positions at the FBI Headquarters and in Georgia, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

The luncheon includes time for networking and meeting other attendees.
